It might be surprising but some of the most emotional group discussions I’ve held have been with older males. Unaccustomed to sharing their intimate thoughts in a public sphere – let alone private in many cases – with a group of peer who are strangers, when encouraged to express themselves they do.
These are the groups which people wish did not end. On one such occasion recently I eventually left and they kept talking among themselves. For all I know, they may still be there now, continuing the conversation.
